David Keane P.E., P.C. was established in 2006 as an independent structural engineering and project management company. The company is owned and operated by David Keane. Background

David Keane is a licensed Professional Engineer in both the United States and Ireland. David attended Dublin Institute of Technology and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering from Trinity College Dublin in 1996. After graduating, David moved to New York and worked with Goldstein Associates (GACE) as a Structural Engineer. Notable projects worked on were FAO Schwartz Toy Store Expansion, Mayfair Hotel Conversion to Condominiums, Century 21 Department Store and Tower New York, Payton Lane Assisted Living Facility South Hampton NY, Riverdale Classic Assisted Living Facility Riverdale NY, Jewish Home & Hospital Bronx NY.

Between 1998 and 2002 and then between 2003 and 2004 David worked for Gilsanz, Murray Steficek LLP (GMS) as a Senior Structural Engineer. While at GMS David worked on projects such as Toys R Us Flagship Times Square New York, AOL Time Warner Center New York, Avalon on the Sound Riverdale NY, Rackson Residence West 86th Street New York, 32 East 69th Street New York, Mohegan Sun Government & Tribal Center, Hotchkiss Music Arts Center Connecticut, Kerzner Residence East 94th Street New York, 1981 Broadway, Lenox Hill Hospital New York, One Liberty Place New York, Monroe College New Rochelle NY and St. Francis Hospital, Port Washington NY.

At the end of 2002, David returned to Ireland for a year and worked as a Principal Engineer for White Young Green in Dublin. He worked on Smithfield Market, a $800 million mixed use development, Glenalbyn Community Center & Swimming Pool and Irishtown Stadium.

In 2004 David joined Kelmar Designs Inc, a New York based construction management firm. It was here David gained a broader experience and knowledge of construction procedures working as a Project Manager. He managed projects such as Abraham House Willis Avenue Bronx NY, Mount Saint Vincent Convent Riverdale NY, 181 Sullivan Street New York and St. Aloysius School New York.
