Project: Hellenic Classical Charter School – Staten Island

Project Description: Expansion of the Hellenic Classical Charter School located on Richmond Avenue in Staten Island. Project included construction of a new four story 53,500 square foot building with full cellar. Superstructure consisted of reinforced concrete flat plate construction. Building is supported by a 30″ thick reinforced concrete mat foundation. Cellar extends 8ft below water table so extensive dewatering and support of excavation was required to complete foundation work.
